Imagine a quaint cottage on an island 6 miles off the coast of Maine, surrounded by water with Burnt Coat Harbor on one side and Mill Pond on the other. Coffee on the porch looking at the lighthouse and boats, beachcombing on your private stretch of rocky New England beach, listening to loons on Mill Pond, and exploring the picturesque island and its natural beauties.
Meet our cottage
We are not a five star resort. Store Point Cottage is a 936 square foot cottage (shocker, I know!) built in 1930 and lovingly outfitted and decorated by us. What she lacks in perfection, she makes up for in charm. We hope these photos provide an intimate look at what our humble home with a million-dollar view has to offer you.
The Details
Store Point Cottage offers accomodations for up to 4 people. Downstairs you will find a cottage-style kitchen with gas range, full-size fridge, washer and dryer, and just about anything you would expect in a home kitchen to prepare your meals. A separate dining room offers seating for four to dine or play board games. The living room is spacious and features gorgeous views of Burnt Coat Harbor & lighthouse. A TV and DVD player are available, as well as wi-fi, but we highly recommend turning away from the screens and instead enjoying the company of your travel partners and the adventures available to you in and out of the cottage.
Two Bedrooms:
Downstairs is a bedroom with queen bed, small dresser, bookcase (with books,) & views of Mill Pond.
Upstairs is a larger bedroom with king bed, 2 dressers & views of Burnt Coat Harbor.
One Bathroom:
There is one bathroom downstairs with a combination tub &shower, toilet, and sink.
